"Hello! My name is Laura. I am very enthusiastic about teaching and have taught in many settings.

I have a Bachelors degree from Slippery Rock University, near Pittsburgh, PA. My degree is in Dance. I have a total of 10+ years as an educator. During high school, I was a one on one ESL tutor at the nearby elementary school. After college, I worked at Berlitz International in Costa Rica, using the Berlitz method. The adult groups were 5-15 students large. Later, back here in Pittsburgh, I worked as a Spanish teacher at a Montessori based preschool and elementary school, using the method of Total Physical Response. Groups were 5-10 students large. After that, I worked as a Spanish teacher at a Spanish immersion preschool, where we only spoke to the children in Spanish. Groups were 5-15 students large. Throughout these years, I also taught dance in many different settings throughout the city of Pittsburgh.

I look forward to teaching you English! We can focus on speaking, reading, writing and grammar. I use a text book call English for Everyone. i will also use the Total Physical Response method to help you stay in the target language and learn rapidly.
