"Hello! My name is Keira, and I am a straight-A high school senior with a passion for helping others excel in math and English. With a 1570 SAT and having taken several honors and AP classes, I have a deep understanding of what does and doesn't work when getting through high school courses and exams. I have also gained a knowledge of teaching through tutoring in my community and working with preschoolers. I have worked with children from aged 2 to 16, helping in subjects from basic arithmetic to trigonometry.

In mathematics, not only did ace the SAT math section with an 800, but I have also taken Honors in every subject. This includes Honors Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, and AP Calculus BC, in which I have received a 5, with a AP Calculus AB score of 5 as well. As a math tutor, I know math can be annoying and frustrating for students, especially as it continues to get harder. By sharing the same sentiment, I am able to offer not just the patience of walking through the logic and fundamentals of mathematics, but also tips and tricks that make math quicker and more enjoyable. I have seen reported increases in test scores based on my teaching.

In English, I earned a 770 Reading and Writing score, and have also taken Honors classes in every grade level and received A's. I currently am Editor-in-Chief of our literary magazine as well. I am able to help students through essays, reading comprehension, SAT reading and writing, and creative writing. I can also help with personal statements for college. I know that in order to succeed, it is major that one understands basic grammar and punctuation (which can often go overlooked). It is also important to pair this with creative and critical thinking when creating literary works.
