"I have a Bachelor's Degree in music from East Texas Baptist University and a Master's Degree in education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I have been a band director for eighteen years including my current position as Director of Bands at The Christian School at Castle Hills in San Antonio. Teaching experience also includes extensive Bible research, sermon preparations, and teaching literature classes.

I love to help students learn how to begin and develop their studies in music, Bible, and writing. My greatest joy in teaching is working with students who are looking to dig a little deeper in their subject. I find that the students who really want to learn are the ones who succeed the most. To help the student learn with confidence and excitement, we will work at the student's pace, allowing the progress of the student to determine when to move on to the next level.

As a pastor and staff minister of several churches, I have extensive experience in research and writing. I have also taught middle school literature which has included research and writing projects.

I have over 20 years of teaching private music lessons, music theory, elementary music and band directing. These experiences have included Sweepstakes awards in Concert and Sight Reading, and guiding students to numerous Honor Bands, All-State Band, and State Solo and Ensemble competitions.
