"As a tutor, I will make sure that the student has a thorough understanding of the concept. Individuals learn differently and whether that be visual, audio, repetition, or my favorite - examples- I will do it. I personally love mathematics and I think it is useful for seeing things in another light. I intend to instruct and to motivate the student to his or her full capacity.

As for me, I would say that my heart for the subject of mathematics comes from doing problems in my free-time. When I was in grammar school and school was out, I would get scratch paper and do addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems with very large numbers. I would get a calculator to see if it was right and it would be. There was an annual district math competition called the "Math Olympiad" which I placed very high in. In high school, I would take online practice quizzes on different subjects in math and would have the majority to all of them right. It reflected in the classroom by having high test scores. My neighbor, classmates, and family members asked me to tutor them. I'm not bragging, but I believe all the preceding would help to raise one's confidence level up. And once you have that, you can conquer anything you set your mind to.
I'm currently an engineering technician for the MWRDGC. I formally tutored at Oak Park and River Forest High School in Illinois Other occupations include Huntington Learning Center (where I tutored all ages) and Mathnasium. When I'm not working, my hobbies may include piano, batting cages, dominoes, chess, and exercising,
Feel free to reach out to me and schedule a lesson! I hope to extend my tutoring outside of mathematics in the near future.
*The first tutoring session is free; this may adjust depending on the demand of students, the length of the session (ie. much greater than an hour), or other factors.
