"Hello! My name is Stacy Ann, and I’m thrilled at the prospect of working with you and your children. I bring over 25 years of teaching experience in a co-educational high school setting, specializing in English Language Arts (ELA), literature, and communication skills for students aged 12-19. I hold a Bachelor of Education in Language Education with a focus on Literacy Studies, which equips me to support students in developing strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
My teaching methods align with the constructivist approach, emphasizing active learning and critical thinking. One of my greatest accomplishments as an educator was working with students who were initially considered underperformers. With dedicated support, they rose to become the second-highest-performing class among six Grade 12 classes—an achievement that reinforces my belief in the potential within every child.
Throughout my career, I’ve served in several leadership roles, including Grade Supervisor for multiple levels, and have been honored as Teacher of the Month numerous times. I come from the beautiful island of Jamaica and recently relocated to the United States, where I’m excited to bring my passion for teaching to this new community.
I firmly believe that every child’s success is a composite effort involving all stakeholders: teachers, students, and parents. With collaboration and the right resources, every child can achieve their fullest potential. I look forward to partnering with both students and parents to create a supportive and enriching educational experience." less...
