"I have 25 years of experience teaching children ESL English as a second language. While receiving Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethany College in German and Economics, I traveled to Germany for my junior year abroad at Heidelberg University. It was during that year that I understood what it meant to be a foreigner and not speak the local language very well. After receiving my B.A., I decided to travel to Taiwan. Initially, I paid my way by teaching young learners of nursery school and kindergarten age how to speak English. In the evenings, I also taught older children how to speak, phonics, grammar and writing. I eventually got a job doing the International Trading that I always wanted to do. But even then I was still interested in teaching English, so I taught adults, usually businessmen, how to converse and write in English. After working in Trade for about ten years, most of the production opportunities were shifting to Mainland China, but I was not. I decided to stay in Taiwan and do what came naturally to me, namely teach English.

I taught some more and opened up two schools, wrote a three-year English curriculum for teaching kindergarteners English in a really integrated but fun way through themed weeks, which included rhymes, songs, conversational targets, science, art and physical activities and games.

After selling those two businesses and having my own child, I joined a team of real professionals at an English academy, where we they taught a style of ESL called Situational English--by far the most effective way I've taught ever! I know that using this method I can better anyone's English conversation so that they begin sounding like a native speaker! Sure, it takes some time and concentration, but it works!
