"I am certified in all math from middle school through calculus in both Texas and Oklahoma. I have taught high school math for 27 years and just retired this past year. I also maintained National Board Certification in mathematics. I have held private sessions for ACT preparation, and I have tutored many students in their college math courses. I had all three of my children in school - one in elementary, one in middle school, and one in high school, before going back to college to finish my degree. I am also certified in English.

Because of my experience as a mother long before becoming a teacher, I always found it easy to relate to students and gain their respect. I continue to have students, parents, and administrators beg me back to the position I recently retired from. My math knowledge goes well beyond anything I teach, which makes me better prepared to explain the concepts to students.

I have experience in teaching prealgebra, Algebra I and II, geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, and calculus, as well as any practical or consumer math classes. My students always loved the way I could teach shortcuts or explain step-by-step, depending on each student’s individual needs.
