"Hello! My name is Jennifer. This is my 18th year of teaching 2nd & 3rd grade students. Of those, I've taught 2nd & 3rd grade at a public elementary school in the Compton Unified and Los Angeles Unified School District. I have extensive experience working with 6-9 year olds. I also had the opportunity to branch into working with students in middle school while being the Director of the Physical Education and After School Program for 5th-8th grade students. There I was able to implement & support intensive homework help as one of the key components. I am great with individuals of all ages. I was lucky to get inducted into the Teachers Rock Wall of Fame 2012 and awarded Teacher of the Year in 2011. I am currently back in South Gate & teaching young 2nd graders to read and write using the Wit & Wisdom curriculum alongside the Opencourt phonics units to blend and decode words. My passion is to help your child grow a love of reading, writing, and learning.
