"2016 marks my 30th anniversary as a teacher of theory and composition at the university level. At Louisiana State University I earned the B. MUS. (1982), M. MUS. (1984) and the D.M.A. in 1989. There I studied composition with Dr. Dinos Constantinides, and completed 57 hours of graduate study in music theory. More recently, I graduated from the Berklee College of Music with both the Specialist Certificate and Professional Certificate in Studio Production. My major instrument in college was the organ, but in recent years I have migrated to the cello as my principal instrument.

I teach theory/composition, cello, music industry courses, orchestration, choral arranging and direct the New Music Concert series at the University. I currently serve as Vice President of NACUSA-MA (National Association of Composers, USA, Mid-Atlantic). I have performed with the LSU Collegium Musicum, the ULL Collegium Musicum, the Chowan Chorus, the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, the CWN Masterworks Orchestra, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, and the Tar River Orchestra.
