"Tutoring numerous high school students applying to college, I have helped multiple prospective applicants receive admission to their top university choices. As a college admissions tutor, I view the application process as an opportunity for students to craft an overarching narrative, highlighting their academic, professional and personal development. To that end, I prioritize asking the right questions to get students thinking, ultimately granting students autonomy to write their own authentic stories. I also hope to help students become good critics, honing both their writing and editing skills.
As a writing tutor, I focus my efforts on similar skill development. Having worked with students ranging from sixth through ninth grade, I adapt my curriculum to each student's goals and interests, both offering to help with schoolwork and creating exercises to drive students' overall improvement as writers. Assigning exercises in summarizing, text analysis and argumentative writing, I aim to improve my students' reasoning and writing capabilities. Most of all, I hope to arm my students with the confidence to write freely and creatively, regardless of prior experience.
In May 2024, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Princeton University with a BA in Politics. I currently work as a research assistant at Harvard Law School, tutor and volunteer with an organization assisting incarcerated individuals. I plan on becoming a public policy advocate and lawyer in the future. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have – excited to work with you soon!" less...
