"Hello! My name is Michael and I’m your next tutor. I have been teaching in New York City classrooms for the past 4 years, ranging from 2nd to 8th grade students. I moved to the Hudson Valley this summer and am excited to start the year at a local middle school.

I graduated from The New School in NYC. Although I graduated with a Psychology degree, I am an English teacher. The combination of my psychology classes which focused on adolescent psych, and my minor in creative writing, I am a uniquely qualified educator.

I will be the biggest help to students who need help with writing. Whether it’s a creative essay, research paper, college admissions essay, you name it, I can help. As a published writer myself I am an expert in both the technical side of writing and also the creative side. Working through writers block, how to read as a writer, vocabulary and style. Your writing skills will show exponential growth after sessions with me.

I have a deep portfolio of lesson plans that tailor to all sorts of ages to address literacy, writing, and basic ELA skills.
