"Hi! My name is Jessica, and I am currently a fourth-year medical student at the University of Texas Medical Branch, set to graduate in a few months. I earned my undergraduate degree in Nutrition from the University of Houston before beginning my medical journey. My academic credentials include passing Step 1 on my first attempt (with a 3-week dedicated period) and scoring 250+ on Step 2 (with a 1-month dedicated period). I also received Honors and High Pass on all core clinical rotations.

I have a strong passion for teaching and mentorship, which I believe stems from my years of tutoring experience. Ever since high school, I have worked with students at all levels and taught various subjects (K-12 math and reading, SAT, ACT, etc). My goal is to tailor lessons to each student’s unique learning style, challenges, and strengths, teaching effective study strategies and ensuring concepts “click” in a way that is meaningful and lasting.

Outside of school, I love baking, painting, and snuggling with my two cats. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering confidence and thinking like the test writers.
