My name is Austin and I have been a tutor for about 8 years. Most of the work I have done was not even my own intention. It turns out that I had a knack for it and the job just came to me since people wanted me to help. I was a tutor for Boise State University's Japanese program. I was able to give everyone the perspective they wanted because I was also in their shoes once. I understand what it is like to learn a new language, it is difficult and it requires passion. I tutored English for foreign exchange students within my university and was astounded with the work we all achieved. I hope to do the same for all of my future students as well.

I was a Japanese tutor at Boise State University for around 4 years. I have completed all courses the university offers for Japanese language. I lived in Japan for a year through a study abroad program, in that time I was able to significantly improve my Japanese language and understanding of Japanese culture.

I am a native English speaker. As a result of being interested in Japanese language mechanics, I have a deeper understanding of my own languages mechanics. I specialize in teaching English to non-native speakers.
