Although I never sought my teaching credential(s), I found during my tutoring job that I not only had a talent for it; but also enjoyed it thoroughly. I believe the part I like best is being able to put the lessons in terms the student can understand. It's one thing to explain something properly - another to explain it in a way which can be absorbed by the person being taught.
Explaining lessons in a way which can be readily absorbed by the student; the ability to be patient; and perhaps most of all, with regards to Math, giving real world comparisons and scenarios, so a student can see why/how Math is used.
Let me make Math easy for you! If it is explained in the wrong manner, it can be intimidating. Math is something we use constantly, but may not realize it. Once you discover how you are already using it, you'll be happy to find it's easy to begin using it in even more ways." less...
