"Hello! I am a senior at Wittenberg University, studying to get a BS in psychology and a BA in Sociology with a focus in Criminology. I have a background in many different subjects. I have an award for honorary academic scholar, awarded to me in high school. I was also awarded the presidential scholarship to my university. I graduated high school with a 3.97 GPA and currently have a 3.45 GPA in college. I have been in honors since my freshman year of high school, and have continued into college. I am looking to help any student below college level.
I trained with the Children's Defense Fund last year to work as a Student Leader Intern at UMC Covenant Freedom Schools, focusing on reading comprehension. I have been an assistant teacher for three years back in high school, helping other grades below me in math and reading comprehension, as well as English and writing, and Spanish. I have taught students as young as second grade and as old as 10th grade. They have always been in a classroom setting but I am not against one-on-one lessons. I have been a mental health technician since April, and have been teaching children from 11 to 18. I have been teaching them about mental health, coping mechanisms, techniques in dealing with grief and more.
My tutoring approach is using my knowledge and techniques to help you better understand a topic. If you struggle or do not fully understand, I will adjust my technique or find other methods of teaching you. I am open to new ideas and new ways of doing schoolwork, and am excited to learn alongside you!
I hope to meet with you and your student online or in-person soon" less...
