My name is Josh, and I've been playing guitar for about a decade now, and I've recently received my BA in Jazz composition and performance. I've been songwriting since I was 17 years old. I'm currently 29. I love passing on the information that I've accumulated through my years of study. Although I'm a "Jazz Guitarist", I play MANY other styles. When I was studying in Vancouver, Canada I was in 6 bands at one point! I've played in Ska bands, punk bands, Folk duos/trios/quartets, Jazz duos/trios/quartets/ensembles, progressive rock, as well as my own band consisting of original compositions!

I've taken 8 years of private study for guitar, and I've casually taught my friends over the years! I'm looking to take that experience and pass it on to my fellow students. I have ample knowledge in composition, music theory (classical and Jazz), guitar ergonomics, scales, techniques, songwriting, etc. I've written over 80 songs, released an album, and I'm currently recording my second album!
