"Hi, my name is Guillermo! I graduated in 3.5 years from Stanford University with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, a Minor in Political Science, and a dabbling in literate and philosophy.
I was once a high school student too! My favorite subjects then were Chemistry and History, though I enjoyed everything I learned at school and was really nerdy! In college, I thrived in classes that blended different fields of thought, from the physics of transit to the policies around accessible transportation.
In graduate school, I became involved teaching a transportation policy course and an introduction to robotics. I discovered an even greater love for teaching because I had to adapt to broader variety of learning styles. I believe that a cool idea communicated well can give anyone a contagious energy. I also believe that different ways of presenting information is the best way to accommodate all learning styles and approaches.
I currently work as a Manager at an autonomous car company. In my free time, I teach math, physics, chemistry, history, US Government, Spanish, literature, test and college prep, and general computing skills!
I am easy to reach and respond quickly. I also offer free 15-minute consultations to anyone interested in learning more about how I can help you.
Here are some other topics I like to talk about:
- applying to and choosing a college
- choosing a major and a career
- navigating personal finances and building credit
Reach out for any questions. Looking forward to working with you!
