"Math and science are essential to our understanding of the natural world, but these subjects can be daunting without the proper resources. This inspired me to learn some of these disciplines and make them accessible to others. During my undergrad, I volunteered as a tutor for college-level math and science classes, including algebra, calculus and chemistry. I was an active member and later, president of the SOU Chemistry Club, which is known for its promotion of chemistry appreciation within the community through youth enrichment activities. SOU's chemistry program also helped me become a skilled researcher and technical writer. I'm also an amateur artist and have earned numerous accolades for my work.

I earned my BS is Chemistry from an ACS accredited program, which required A LOT of math coursework. During my undergrad I mentored/tutored for college algebra, calculus and organic chemistry. I returned to tutoring for math early 2020, primarily high school and college algebra and elementary (K-8) math.
I wasn't always great at math, but through hard work and determination, I overcame this hurdle by identifying what methods worked for my learning style. Now, I can help others overcome their struggle with math, so they can also reach their academic goals." less...
