I was lucky to get some old-school education from the top Soviet college before coming to the USA some decades ago. I did get perfect scores in multiple GRE sections before proceeding to graduate studies in Physics and Comp Science. While in graduate school, I had a few years' classroom experience teaching Physics to undergrads as a TA, as well as a few one on one tutoring sessions. The experience convinced me that I really wanted to teach longer term, i.e. after I am done with my first career. I graduated with two degrees, PhD in Physics and MS in Computer Science. Subsequently, my fruitful career has been in Quantitative Finance at some of the very best US investment management firms, leveraging both Mathematics and computer programming knowledge.
It pays to be good at Mathematics and I hope I will inspire and motivate you to that end. I am not here (just) to get you through that test, I want you to succeed in a hard-science profession, and I do know first-hand what it takes.
All areas of Mathematics, Physics, computing, Statistics; there is no limit on the level. All ages are welcome. While I'm happy to tutor online, I will require at least some of the sessions to be face to face (most of Chicagoland is doable).
