"Hello, my name is Malisa. I have extensive experience auditing and providing education to providers of multiple specialties and coders of all skill levels. I was previously an online instructor for an AAPC CPC approved program where I taught Medical Terminology & Anatomy along with ICD-10CM Medical Coding. I also specialize in E/M medical coding training. I have been instrumental in assisting many students who had previously failed the AAPC CPC exam multiple times to build confidence and successfully pass their exam. My goal with my students is to patiently train them on the ICD-10CM coding guidelines and to show them how to properly navigate through the book in order to select and properly sequence the appropriate diagnosis codes. I also have a strong background in E/M coding. I tailor my approach on an individual basis in order help my student reach their full potential and build confidence in their ability to be successful. I know what it is like to not receive the proper education and the challenge of overcoming the intimidation of taking the AAPC CPC coding certification. I am a naturally warm and patient instructor who want to see those who "think" they can't or doubt they can succeed; to acquire the knowledge in a manner best for them individually to believe they can become a Certified Professional Coder.
