"My name is Mark. I am a high school math teacher and part time college math professor. I have been teaching and tutoring math for over 25 years. I have taught many courses in math but specialize in teaching Pre-calculus, calculus I (AB), and calculus II (BC). I write all of my own materials and constantly post them on either google classroom at the high school level and canvas on the college level. All my students will have access to any materials they need. I work hard and am determined to get all my students to understand math.

Mathematics should not be thought of the routine of memorizing steps to accomplish a task or a list of equations. Most students forget them shortly after taking a test. Math is a process of building geometric ideas. Students should be thinking with pictures and representations that aid in the understanding of mathematical concepts. Not until after grasping these geometric interpretations should students involve themselves in algebraic manipulations. A picture is worth a thousand words. I stick by this moto and teach math by it as well.
