I have taught many courses in math but specialize in teaching Pre-calculus, calculus I (AB), and calculus II (BC). All my students will have access to any materials they need. I work hard and am determined to get all my students to understand math.
Mathematics should not be thought of the routine of memorizing steps to accomplish a task or a list of equations. Most students forget them shortly after taking a test. Math is a process of building geometric ideas. Students should be thinking with pictures and representations that aid in the understanding of mathematical concepts. Not until after grasping these geometric interpretations should students involve themselves in algebraic manipulations. A picture is worth a thousand words. I stick by this moto and teach math by it as well.
I am happy to teach math and love doing it. I am thrilled when students understand and apply math. Whether in my high school classroom or in a lecture hall filled with 100 students, I am always happy to teach to any one that is interested or has a will to learn." less...
