"Hi, I'm Iulianna! I am a rising senior at Harvard University, pursuing a major in Biomedical Engineering. I grew up in Champaign-Urbana Illinois, and attended an all-honors high school where I first grew excited about medicine -- earning state-wide recognition in the sciences. In college, I have worked in oncology laboratories at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and have received near-perfect grades in chemistry, biology, math, physics, and writing courses. I have worked as a tutor for six years, first at the Kumon Center for Math and Reading where I helped students aged four to sixteen on subjects ranging from basic math and learning how to read all the way up to high school concepts in algebra and Shakespeare. In addition, I have worked as a private tutor for the SSAT, SAT, and ACT, and I have also done private tutoring for college admissions. Students I have worked with have gained admission to selective high schools as well as highly selective (<5% admissions rate) universities. After receiving a 96 percentile ranking on the MCAT this January, I would love to tutor new students in the Medical School Admissions Test as well.
