"I am a senior accounting and entrepreneurship student at Florida State University with a certificate in Leadership. This past semester, I began tutoring students on the FSU campus for their accounting courses, and realized that I was able to help them very much. This slowly branched into other courses that were offered at the College of Business. I also was a Freshmen Interest Group Leader this year, which involved me leading a course for 15 weeks with 20 freshmen on various topics across all disciplines. Through this program, I was able to better myself as both a tutor and a person through helping others.

I am also very involved in the Tallahassee community through organizations such as Big Brother Big Sister and Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend. I have been involved with them for the past two years and have learned a lot myself about how to better interact and communicate with children to where they truly understand and begin to retain the information that you are providing them with. I am a firm believer that respect goes a long way, and the same can be said in the realm of tutoring. Respect the student you are tutoring and treat them as if they were your own little brother or sister that you were helping out.
