I tailor my one-on-one instruction to the learning styles of each, individual student. I have worked in various positions in the accounting field, which have given me a broad understanding of the subject and its relevancy. I do not like to leave the tutoring session until my students have learned the subject, and continually ask for feedback throughout the sessions to ensure their comprehension. Over the last year, I tutored a Schoolcraft College Accounting student that was receiving a 1.5 in Accounting 101, and I was able to increase her understanding so that she earned a 3.5 in both of her Introductory Accounting courses.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, and my Master's degree from Florida Atlantic University. Accounting was my Major at both Universities. I then went on to get my Certified Public Accounting license. These credentials have given me a complete understanding of the subject. In addition, I was an Adjunct Accounting Professor at Prospect Hall College in Hollywood, Florida. I worked as an Auditor at KPMG, and then went on to become an Assistant Controller at a Hospital." less...
