"Hi, My name is Elizabeth W. and I'm a Hillsdale College alumni who graduated Magna cum Laude with a BA in English. I've had success teaching multiple subjects in a variety of settings, ranging from individual private piano lessons to 5th grade classroom Latin instruction. I've even conducted practices as a head swim coach! Alongside these more formal teaching settings, I have often been consulted by peers and family for help editing cover letters, papers, and lesson plans. In a more recent job, I worked to copyedit and review teacher resources, lesson plans, and textbook chapters designed for use in Charter School classrooms.

My primary area of expertise lies in reading and writing. I cover basic topics, such as grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as more advanced abilities, including literary analysis and paper writing. I also teach the tips and tricks necessary to excel in ACT reading and writing.

Whether your student needs help reading and understanding Charles Dickens and other literary classics or they're struggling to grasp the ins and outs of proper comma usage, I will patiently work with them to improve their knowledge, understanding, (and hopefully enjoyment of) the English language.
