"My goal as a tutor to young students currently needing assistance with their acting is to create an appreciation for this style of storytelling that will enhance their confidence in communicating and learning in their future. I earned my bachelor's degree in Communications with a concentration in Theatre Education from Bridgewater State University in May of 2011. Since then I have continued to attend acting classes at the university, have worked as a student director (also at Bridgewater) and have been performing as an actor locally. My personal goal is to open and direct my own company within the upcoming year and supply many opportunities for performers in my area. Each performance has opened my eyes to what the theatre is lacking at its core - coaching, training, and individual achievement. There are those who strive for the spotlight and those who strive to be a part of an ensemble and the theatre has more than enough room for both. If you are struggling with your acting I am happy to assist you in breaking through any barriers and getting to the core of the playwright's text. After all, the playwright's story is what the actor tells on the stage and it is our job to do the story justice." less...
