"Over the past three years I have been blessed to study with some of the greatest teachers and artists working in the Performing arts world today! From my work at the Actors Studio Drama School in class with Susan Aston, Jaqueline Knapp, and Elizabeth Kemp; to my master classes with Ellen Burstyn and James Lipton; to my time filming Inside the Actors Studio listening to the greatest advice from people like Amy Adams, Bryan Cranston, Steve Carell, and Matthew McConaughey. I have acquired an incredible education with all these and more, and I would like to share my knowledge with new students, and maybe experienced actors that would like to brush up on their tools and keep their tool kit well polished.
I am trained in the modern method, using aspects of the Stanislavski Method as taught by Strasberg, Adler, and Meisner. While the method has obtained a somewhat negative reputation in some communities, I assure you that these impressions are false. The goal of "The Method" is to call on your own imagination and memories to fuel genuine emotion. I can promise that if a script calls for a drunk person, you will not have ever had to have alcohol to genuinely access this feeling. These are the types tools I'd like to share with my students, which are applicable on both stage and screen!
I can offer anything from monologue and scene coaching on an individual basis, to guided sensory exercises and exploration of your craft.
I accept students of all ages, so please message me if interested!" less...
