"Hi there! My name is Veronica. I'm an Adult/Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in emergency and trauma surgery. I have ten years experience as a registered nurse and eight as a nurse practitioner. I am a currently appointed teaching associate for the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University and have served as a member of the adjunct faculty for Graduate Nursing Program at Rhode Island College. Nursing is my first love, but teaching is my passion. To me, there is nothing better than seeing the look on a person's face when that light bulb turns on!

I have never officially/formally (aka been paid) tutored, however I volunteered my time and conducted both one on one and group learning sessions. I have employed a number of learning techniques, however I would say that my predominant method of teaching/tutoring is by way of visual learning. In my undergraduate studies, I minored in psychology and majored in nursing then went on to pursue a master’s in nursing. Degrees in nursing include a diverse and vast number of subjects including, but not limited to: anatomy & physiology, pharmacology, psychology, biology, microbiology, genetics, health assessment, differential diagnosis, epidemiology, public health, dosage calculation, and statistics.
