Along with this passion is interest in math and writing. These two subjects have always been where I flourished, and I love to share my knowledge with others.
I have 2 years experience in one-on-one tutoring for college-level Pre-Calculus and Calculus, as well as high school AP Pre-Calculus. I believe that practice makes perfect! Especially when it comes to math. I prefer to begin with students in a way that shows me what they can do, and plan our future sessions around those skills. When it comes to math, every topic you learned before will be useful in the future topics you'll come to learn. For this reason, I encourage students to continually practice old concepts such as algebra basics and proper pronunciation while we work on new topics. In addition, theory is a part of the learning process that I try to include as much as possible. I've found in my own studies and with students that topics seem to really "click" as soon as the "why?" is answered. My methods aside, I'm happy to have ongoing conversations with students about what they think would help the most, and I am always ready to go the extra mile." less...
