"Hi, I’m Damary! I am a warm, passionate, and creative educator with over 12 years of experience in education and 8 years of tutoring students in Algebra and related math concepts. I am dual-certified and currently teach an ICT Algebra 1 Regents-based course, where I specialize in working with a diverse group of learners, including students with IEPs and exceptionalities.

Throughout my career, I’ve taught both large classrooms of 30 students and smaller groups, providing targeted intervention through differentiated instruction. My approach is centered on leveraging students’ strengths to make challenging concepts stick while addressing their unique needs. I incorporate proven test-taking strategies to build confidence and reduce “math anxiety,” because I believe that all students can excel in math—they just need the right access points tailored to their learning style.
