"Hello! My name is Abraham, and I have a PhD in computer engineering currently working as a 5G networks engineer at Samsung. I am a passionate individual seeking to provide the students of Wyzant professional, engaging, and compassionate assistance with math and computer science/engineering concepts. The right tutor can provide the support and encouragement required for students to achieve their academic endeavors.
During my PhD days, I was a teaching assistant for hardware security, microprocessor systems, and digital circuits. Many students struggle with grasping the fundamental concepts of computer programming and mathematics. My teaching style aims to develop students to break large problems into much smaller tasks that are easier to accomplish. I find that students comprehend concepts faster when analogous examples are utilized. Furthermore, my pedagogy favors a hands-on approach where we work through a problem together to ensure students can perform when they're on their own. I utilize my background as an engineer to enrich students with the capability to tackle these challenging problems methodically.
I have been programming in C/C++ for over 8 years, and I have 3 years of python experience. During my PhD, I wrote many complex python frameworks that automated processor data to machine learning models for malware detection. Therefore, I know how to teach future programmers to break problems into smaller tasks and write efficient, clean, and maintainable code.
I want to ensure that students feel content in their abilities to solve complex computing and mathematical problems. Learning is not just about obtaining the correct answer. It's about understanding the concepts and principles necessary to expand your knowledge to different questions. Moreover, I am happy to work with students to understand their strengths and needs. Please feel free to reach out to me, and I will do my best to respond as soon as possible. I am always willing to answer any questions you might have about my teaching methods." less...
