Almost every week I am faced with a issue I’ve never seen before, and over time I’ve developed a solid strategy to tackle most problems, both inside/outside the classroom
A little bit about me: I received my undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins and my graduate degree from University of Houston; both in engineering. I achieved an 800 in math on the SAT and GRE. I have over 15 years work experience as an engineer and data scientist, so I bring a plethora of real world practical applications for the type of math studied in school! Througout my 15 year career I’ve mentored countless newer and more experienced people. I can honestly say this is the most rewarding part of my job!
Being in high school, I know certain subjects can seem daunting, tedious and perhaps even pointless at times. In addition to making you feel more confident going into an exam, my main goal is to make you enjoy the subject you are studying because in some way or another, the problem solving skills you learn in school will be an invaluable tool as you get older.
My tutoring approach seeks to increase interest and curiosity while challenging the students to think for themselves. This results in an increased ability to assimilate, evaluate and even create knowledge. Most importantly, the students learn how to excel in any academic environment where they can master new and unfamiliar topics. Lastly I enjoy integrating real applications with every concept we discuss." less...
