"Hi, I'm Simeon (sim-ee-un)! I graduated summa cum laude in 2024 with my Bachelor of Science in History. I also hold an Associate of Applied Science in Library & Information Services, which I obtained in 2020. I firmly believe in the concept of Growth Mindset, or, in the words of Ms. Frizzle, "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!"

I have worked in the medical field for nearly 20 years, and am beginning to transition into education. My short-term goal is to teach at an elementary level, while long-term I'd like to become a History professor. Although I have little formal experience as a tutor, I have tutored nieces and nephews over the last 15 years in various subjects. I remember what it's like to feel as if your educators don't care about what you learn, and I'd like to be someone who proves that's not always true. I am kind, patient, and understanding. I will do my best to adapt to your learning style. I like to use lesson plans that include fun facts, interesting primary sources, and engaging assignments.
