"Hello, my name is Richard and I'm a Professional Tutor based in the Windermere and West Orlando areas. I've been tutoring students in middle school, high school, college, nursing and medical school, and FLVS students for the past 10 years. I currently specialize in math and science, but I also tutor most other subjects such as the language arts and test preps including SAT, ACT, GED, and TEAS.

About Me: I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's in Biology and went though 4 years of medical school before deciding to adapt my education toward health informatics. In pursuit of this, I recently graduated from University of Central Florida with a degree in Health Informatics and Information Management and received my RHIA certification.

Throughout my time at UF, I worked primarily as a tutor for students struggling to transition from high school to college level sciences, though I also tutored elementary through high school students in all subjects. With UF having a large foreign student population, I also tutored language arts for both native speakers of English and for those whom English is a second language. I am confident in teaching math, science, and language arts of elementary though undergraduate college levels as well as basic medical sciences for nursing or medical students and various test preps such as TEAS, SAT, ACT, and GED or FLVS courses. I believe in emphasizing core concepts and fundamental ideas. Together we will work to first understand the nature of the problem, second the principles involved, and finally how to arrive at a solution as well as any tricks to speed things along the way.
