"I love teaching others to appreciate literature of all kinds. My specialties are American Literature, African-American Literature, and Multi-Cultural Literature. Writing instruction is also exciting to teach to someone who struggles with writing of any type.

As a high-school English teacher in an upstate New York public school, I taught 11th graders to integrate American Literature with studies in American history and culture. I also prepared them for the NYS English Regents, which 90% of my students passed. I taught two specialized courses on the college level to 12th graders: African-American Literature and Multi-Cultural Literature. Both of these courses integrated literature with cultural studies.
