I love teaching Chinese. I had experience of teaching young kids Chinese and helping them understanding the Chinese culture through the language learning. I recently had experience in a Local private school of Idaho Falls about Kanji learning/writing, all the elementary kids were fascinated and I was invited back to the classroom. The Chinese language may seem difficult, yet the learning can be fun. For instance, the teaching in the private school is about a type of character called Pictograph, which uses picture symbols or icons to represent real things. By pointing out such connections between Kanji characters and the real things, it is fun for the students to learn (or even guess at first sight), remember and understand the origin of the character.

In addition, learning the language opens a door to understand the mysterious culture, I would like to teach the language through Chinese story telling, Chinese song singing, Chinese poems reciting, and even Chinese drama play as the students' language ability is gradually built up.

Recently the British government has listed Chinese as their mandatory lesson for their elementary students, which demonstrates the importance of the Chinese language learning to the world.
