"Hello everyone. For nearly 20 years, I have taught Art, Animation, Art History, Digital Design, Digital Imaging, Web-programming, Drawing, and other related design and art topics at the College & University Level, and I currently hold a position at a local university.
I have quite a varied education and set of experiences, and so I believe that In my classes can extend to art, history, literature, design, and architecture. I use both practical and written assignments; and, depending on your needs, I am happy to tailor my sessions with you in a way that best suits you.
I can meet you at the studio where I do my work, online, or in my home. Whatever works best.
I hope to hear from you!
I LOVE what I do. Art, history, design, and animation are my passions and I love trying to convey what I know and love to my students: the KEY is finding your passion, and then feeding and fostering that love for what you do. This is necessary in any creative field for success. Once you learn this, you'll see that your passion is infectious; and it will come across in your work. If you are fearless, fully engaged, and willing to take chances, especially in New York where there are so many talented people, and especially in our current job market, you cannot help but be successful.
New York City is the center of the art & design world, so I believe that taking advantage of what NYC has to offer to students and professionals is important to success. Each week, I visit museums & galleries on my own so as to keep up on current topics in my field. During my classes, I like to convey this information to my students so that they may also know what is out there, for INSPIRATION, to expand their horizons, and to keep the creative juices flowing. The key to success in these fields is not only having certain skills, but also, in part, putting yourself out there in the world in situations where there are other like-minded people." less...
