"My name is Brendan! I graduated from the University of Nevada with Magna Cum Laude honors in May 2024 with a Bachelor’s in Education, and a second Bachelor’s in Math. I enjoy learning about the applications and practicalities of math, and I love sharing this passion with others. I spent several months interning as a teacher at a local high school as part of my college coursework, and I have gained valuable experience teaching various classes, including Geometry, Algebra, and AP Calculus. As a result of my students’ outstanding achievements, I have been offered a position as a full-time educator in the fall at the same school!
In high school, I received a perfect 800 on the math section of the SAT (1550 overall score), as well as an overall score of 35 on the ACT. I received 5’s on both the AP Calculus AB and the AP Statistics exams, and I have maintained straight A’s throughout college.
I have also worked as a private tutor for the past year, in which I have worked alongside students in subjects ranging from Pre-Algebra to college-level Calculus. I believe that self-confidence is necessary to reach one’s potential in a challenging content area, and I strive to develop this assurance within each student Through tutoring, I aspire to guide and motivate each towards achieving their academic goals as they further their understanding of key concepts. Feel free to reach out and schedule a session!" less...
