My name is Osiah Robles. I have taught AP Human Geography, AP US and World History, Economics, and Government. I have been teaching since 2010. I specialize in working with students who struggle with dyslexia, executive functioning, ADHD, and anxiety.

In 2005 I graduated from CCSU, a teacher’s college, with a BA in History and Secondary Education. I taught in eight cities, four states, and three countries. I have taught all age levels and hold teacher certifications in Connecticut, California, and Tennessee.

My philosophy :

For a student to become a lifelong learner, they must develop curiosity and self-advocacy.

Students who study with me discover a love of English and history beyond the textbook. Sources such as graphic novels, audiobooks, and films bring history and literature alive. Gamified learning sites help students review skills and master content in a fun way. My lessons bring vigor by drawing from a variety of curriculums including the History Comes Alive series, the Springboard English Program, and the Reading Like a Historian (SHEG) from Stanford.

Students will practice with me a variety of skills needed for college. I will help you develop hard skills in reading, writing, and technology, and soft skills like managing your time, motivation, and practicing how to communicate effectively.
