"Amanda N. has been an educator in the Chicagoland area for the last 12 years. Amanda has a bachelor's in Secondary Education/History from Northeastern Illinois University, a Masters in Reading from Olivet Nazarene University and was College Board certified in AP Human Geography through Northwestern University. Additionally, Amanda serves as a tutor through Wyzant's platform, serving over 75 students in the last 3 years. 82% of 9th graders AP Human Geography students working with Amanda earned a 4 or 5. 100% of clients raised their Social Studies grades to As within 5 sessions.

AP Human Geography has provided Amanda and her students a global perspective that insights empathy and a passion for understanding globalization. Outside of the classroom you might catch her hopping on a flight to an exotic destination, cooking with her husband, working out with friends virtually on the Peloton, playing with her newborn son, twin goddaughter's or volunteering with the Special Olympics organization. I hold a Masters in History, and am deemed highly qualified. I teach: American History, Civics, Sociology, Psychology, AP World History, APUSH, and AP Human Geography. I also tutor and prepare students for the ACT, SAT, and college application process.
