"My name is Trevor, and I currently teach AP World History: Modern to the students in our Pre-IB program and IB Geography SL/HL to those in our Diploma Program (DP). I attended the AP exam reading for 2024, where I graded student responses for the May 2024 exam. I graduated with my BA in History from the University of Central Florida and am finishing my thesis hours for my MA in Public History. I am a former IB graduate with my IB Diploma, so I know what it is like to go through the DP from the student's perspective.
My lessons work best when focusing on the standards of the AP Exam. For the best tutoring experience, we will concentrate on short-answer questions (SAQs), long essay questions (LEQs), document-based questions (DBQs), and multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Writing makes up 60% of the exam score and is where I can assist best, although we can work on MCQ practice as long as they are to the standards of the AP exam.
