"I have 14 years of experience as a middle and high school English teacher. I have spent the past four years teaching honors-level courses that prepare students for Advanced Placement and Dual Credit English courses. I also teach AP Seminar and AP Research which I can provide some support for (I cannot provide feedback or assistance for anything that is submitted to College Board). Additionally, I have experience in helping students prepare for the written portions of several AP exams including Lang, US History, and World History.

Along with valuing the importance of developing students' writing skills, I also understand how difficult this can be for many students. I do my best to break writing assignments down to their most essential skills to help students understand the common elements of quality writing. I enjoy working with students one on one to improve their understanding, and I am willing to dedicate as much time as is necessary to ensure that students I work with find success.

I have a wide variety of experience with the most traditional forms of essays in high school English courses. I also have several years of experience in proofreading and guiding students through revision in dual credit & AP English essays, college admission essays, and scholarship essays.
