"Hello all! My name is Jordan. I've been a high school teacher for 16 years. My expertise is in AP World History. This is my 12th year teaching AP World History. I'm very confident I can help you understand the major concepts and connections in World History. In AP World History, my students have consistently received higher scores on the AP test when compared to the national and state results. Last year, I worked with 11 students privately. Most of these students were struggling when I met them but they all ended up achieving either a 4 or 5 on the AP test. I also have the most common AP textbooks (A Way of the World and the AMSCO book are the most common) used in classrooms which helps me create lessons around the textbook your class is using. I can also simply the writing tasks on the AP test - SAQs, LEQs and DBQs. I have the knowledge and experience to prepare you for your assessments in your class and for the AP World History test in May.

I have years of experience tutoring students one on one, including both in person and virtual learning. My approach in one on one tutoring is to identify what is best for that individual student. Some students learn better by me explaining the material and then me asking comprehension questions throughout the lesson. Some students want and need to explain the material to me to be able to fully comprehend. Others need to go over practice questions together.
