"After 25 years as an Electrical Engineer, I chose to change careers to teaching mathematics and technology to students from middle school through adults. I spent many years mentoring electricians through apprenticeship programs and noticed that I spent much of my time teaching mathematics. I also loved working with students in middle and high school careers classes where I could show why learning mathematics was a necessary life skill.
I completed my Master's degree in inclusive Secondary Mathematics Education at SUNY Brockport in June 2016. I have taught and privately tutored students from 5th grade through college in middle school math, Common Core Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus and Statistics. I really enjoy working one-on-one and in small group settings with students who are either struggling or need extra challenges.
