"I have taught in middle school and upper elementary classes for more than 20 years. A former architect, I quit the corporate world and sought to make a difference by working as a teacher.
When teaching I believe it is important that kids be engaged and see connections to the real world. Science is my passion and I love teaching science at the middle school level. Math is a different story. As a child I struggled learning math, but pursuing a career in Architecture forced me to conquer math. Now as math teacher, I really empathize with students who feel like they are not good at math. That was me!
I have taught math at the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade levels. I am currently teaching several remedial math classes.
I have taught science at the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade levels. I have developed curriculum materials and worked with scientists at Georgia Tech. I have presented workshops at National Conferences.
