"I am Sam and I graduated cum laude in my major with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2013. I have received academic and professional awards of design excellence and international awards for design competitions. I am a professionally trained architectural designer that has worked nationally and internationally for over 10 years in all phases of design from concept to construction. I have completed numerous ground-up projects and work in other design disciplines like graphic, industrial, and furniture design. I have tutored and consulted a diverse array of design students and professionals from numerous design disciplines: architecture, graphic, industrial, fashion, UI/UX.

Managing expectations has always led to achieving goals. I first ask what are my student's expectations in their learning journey. I then create a specific lesson plan catered to my student's expectations and target areas. I always reinforce ideas and questions by providing various examples and different applications. At the conclusion of each lesson, we review what we learned to reinforce meeting content expectations. I then ask students to continue their work on their own and provide me with progress, which we review at the first 10-15 minutes of the next lesson. This process repeats itself for each lesson and I always reintroduce previous content to reinforce its application.
