"I am currently a freelance translator (e.g., safety data sheets for a chemical production company) My experience comes not only from teaching but also having lived abroad.
Prior to François Hollande's inauguration, I lived in Romilly-sur-Seine in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France, where I worked as a "professeur," taught English and Japanese, as well as assisted in Calculus taught in English. My passion for language, art, and teaching has always been invaluable towards achieving my goals.
In 2013, I graduated as Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a B.A. in French and a minor in Studio Art: my GPA in French being a 3.75. During my time at UH, I worked for two years as the departmental French Tutor and previously tutored Pre-Calculus and Calculus at the tutoring center. While working on my degree, I studied abroad twice, spending time in Angers, France at the Université Catholique de l'Ouest. At UCO, I spent most of my time studying 17th Century French Literature. In particular, my focus was on "La Princesse de Clèves" by Mme de Lafayette. The theme for my "dissertation" was the purpose/function of death (la mort) in her novel. I also did Post doc work in Neurolinguistics as well and Social Psychology one of the authorities on POS, i.e., Perceived Organizational Support. I did a lot of research, but in particular I helped create questionnaires for studies, because he had the highest trust that my questionnaires were the most neutral in nature and would not sway the respondents or cause any sort of cathartic response. This was a course for thesis writing and brainstorming among doctoral candidates, so the content was very high register (very technical).
PS
Places of meeting: I tutor online, and very few exceptions are made due to a recent injury.
My availability should be set to 24/7. If it isn't feel free to contact me otherwise. I can always adjust my time translating, and am constantly in contact with friends and colleagues in France and Japan." less...
