"Hello! My name is Eugene, and I'm looking to tutor new students as a side hustle. As of now, I'm attending Lafayette College and going on my 3rd year with a Major in Civil Engineering and a Minor in Education. I graduated from High School, and achieved good grades as well as participating in numerous clubs and sports. I have a score of 780 for the Math SAT, which is part of the reason I want to tutor areas in that field, especially Algebra.

During my junior and senior years of high school, I was a tutor for Algebra, Pre-Calc, and Mandarin classes. Some of my tutoring were helping those individually, or in the classroom. During sessions, I tend to focus on assisting students performing on the hardest components of topics and what they are struggling the most on. Generally, my approaches would be to encourage more practicing on problems and give ample time for students to think.

Currently, I work as an Assistant Teacher in the Goddard School, a private pre-school. Being a teacher for younger students, especially toddlers and pre-schoolers, I use different approaches while teaching including humor and organizing group activities, making lessons more engaging and inclusive.

I have tutored for a total of 2 years in my experience, for classroom settings and one on one. The ages I have taught are from 14-18 and 2-6, but I feel confident being able to teach students in other age groups as well.
