"I am an attorney-turned-academic with a PhD in Latin and Masters in Classical Studies. I have extensive experience teaching elementary and intermediate Latin courses at the college level, as well as Classical Civilization and Ancient History courses. I work very well one-on-one with students, and can help them break the fear block with Latin, break down passages and develop strategies for translation, as well as teaching vocabulary and morphology.
For students currently enrolled in Latin courses, I can assess teaching and testing methods and help the student to work within his or her teacher's parameters, as well as utilize additional techniques to enhance comprehension on an individual basis. For lifelong learners interested in expanding their knowledge base of Latin and Roman Civilization, I can both offer general instruction in Roman history and culture, as well as get them to a level of competence sufficient to enable them to explore Latin literature in the original on their own.
