"I worked as a mechanical drafter and designer for nine years total with two years of electrical drafting included with my main duties. The company I worked for was a multi discipline engineering firm so I was one of free who understood enough about each I was able to assist in drawings setup uo, drafting, data collection, calcs, site work, for all types of phases new existing or demo work. My Associates degree is in architectural drafting and design which helped me realize that drafting was what I wanted to do as my career.

I was able to confidently work with other engineers, clients, contractors vendors and fellow colleagues and feel that opportunity led to a lot of the knowledge I gained. To see the projects from all angles really helps the drafter create a accurate and useful set of drawings that your clients would appreciate and value.

I was taught by not only my instructors in tech school but by many people who used the program in a daily basis. There's different tasks overtime you learn to do the most efficient way and I feel like time efficiency and accuracy was my main goal when learning different parts of Autocad. I am willing to always learn something new so if I do not know something I will be sure to learn it.
